Feb 11, 2017: The Indian Catholic Youth Movement Unit of Sacred Heart Church Madanthyar began its Golden Jubilee celebrations through hosting the Youth Nite 2017 on Sunday 5th February at the Church grounds.
Mangalore Diocesan ICYM Director Rev. Fr Ronald Dsouza was the Chief Guest for the function. He symbolically gave a start to the celebrations by unveiling the Jubilee logo. He also wished the very best to the members of ICYM Madanthyar unit and thanked them for their service at the Parish, Varado and Diocese levels.
Rev. Fr Arun Lobo - ICYM Belthangady Deanary Director appreciated the works of ICYM Madanthyar unit. Parish Priest Rev Fr. Lawrence Mascarenhas in his presidential address thanked all the parents and well wishers for supporting the youth of the parish.
Thereafter the Jubilee theme song composed by Mr. Tyson D’Cunha with voices of parish youth was released.
O….LA….RE a famous musical show by Mangalorean singer Mrs. Shilpa Cutinha and her team was presented as a part of the cultural show. Famous artist Ms. Shabari Ganiga painted live on stage some beautiful paintings with the ICYM Madanthyar youth performing a mind blowing wonderful western dance. Comedy shows by Mr. Nellu Premannur added glamour to the cultural program.
The program ended with the comedy skit 'Konaiki Sanginaka' written and directed by Mr. Tyson D’Cunha a multi talented youth of Madanthyar and acted by the parish youth. This program gave an opportunity for the youth to exhibit their talents.
ICYM Madanthyar unit President Mr. Prem Lobo welcomed the gathering while Secretary Ms. Olisha Tauro proposed the vote of thanks. Mr. Rohan Lewis, Ms. Shiny D’Souza and Mr. Ronald Monis beautifully compered the program.
