Aug 24, 2016: ‘Yuva Spandan 2016’ was organized in Vailankanni Church, Farla on August 14, 2016. The event commenced with the Holy Eucharist celebrated by Rev. Fr. Paul Cutinha. Thereafter the inaugural ceremony was presided over by Fr. Paul Cutinha, the Parish Priest of Farla church.
Flexita and group lead the gathering into a prayerful mood through a prayer song. Mr. Steevan, president of Pallotti Youth Farla welcomed the gathering. Then in a symbolic manner the program was inaugurated with lighting the lamp. Fr. Paul Cutinha, Fr. Kiran Pinto and others wished the youth by their encouraging and inspiring words.
Mr. Geo Agrar and Ms. Nirma Permannur inspired the Pallotti Youth by their talks as resource persons. Their talk was mainly focused on how a youth should lead his or her life in this modern world, how important for a youth to accept failures and rise and walk further with new enthusiasm.
Post lunch ICYM central executive members lead by Diocesan Youth Director Fr. Ronald Dsouza visited the event and wished the Pallotti youth of Farla all success. They also briefed about NYC 2017 that is to be held soon. Lots of games and activities were organized by Fr. Melwyn, Sanod Samboor and Nirma Permannur.
Fr. Melwyn Menezes, Director of Pallotti Youth Farla, Fr. Kiran Pinto, Director of Bantwal Deanary Youth Association, Mrs. Zita Menezes Vice President of Parish Council, Mr. Alwyn Monis Secretary of Parish Council, Mrs. Sunitha Baptist, Animator of YCS Farla, Mr. Arvin D’Mello, Deanary Youth President were present. Mr. Steevan Robert, Pallotti Youth president welcomed and Ms. Jovita Shiny, Secretary Pallotti Youth proposed the vote of thanks.
