Oct 16 : The Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) Omzoor unit in collaboration with Red drop Mangalore along with the Karavali auto rickshaw association, ICYM Pavoor unit and Health commission organised a blood donation camp at Holy Family Sabhabhavan Omzoor on Sunday, 15th October 2023.

Rev. Fr.Alwyn Dcunha, parish priest of Holy Family Church Omzoor, Mr.Arther D’souza, Vice president of parish pastoral council ,Mrs Dafney Lewis ,Secretory PPC, Sr.Cynthiya Saldanha, superior St.Charles Borromeo convent, Mr Elroy Saldanha, ICYM Animator ,Mr Sahaul Hameed, president Karavali auto rickshaw association, Mr Melwin D’souza, Secretory commission of health ,Ms Ria D’souza ,President ICYM Omzoor and Mr Joyal Jonasan ,President ICYM Pavoor were the dignitaries present on the dais.

Ria D’souza, president ICYM Omzoor welcomed the gathering. The camp was inaugurated with the lighting of the lamp.

Rev. Fr. Alwyn Dcunha in his presidential speech spoke on the importance of blood donation , and encouraged people to donate blood at least once in a year.

Mr. Hancil Rodrigues , Vice president ICYM Omzoor proposed vote of thanks, the program was compered by Ms Tenisha Pinto, Secretary ICYM Omzoor.

Total 36 volunteers donated blood, which was collected under the banner of Red Drop blood bank of ICYM Mangalore Diocese.
