ICYM Maniyampare celebrated Vanamahotsava 2018 on 08.07.2018 with the theme *"EACH ONE, TEACH ONE, HOW TO PLANT ONE"* at Maniyampare parish, with wholehearted participation from all the members. The programme turned out to be a successful one as we planted 42 saplings by 20 members, lead by ICYM President, The Director and The Vice President of Parish Pastoral Parishad.

In the wake of the cry for environmental protection, every single act to preserve the nature plays a significant role in promoting awareness towards the environmental protection. The programme not only aims at planting the saplings but also promoting the growth by nourishing and nurturing it regularly. In this regard the saplings planted last year during the Vanamahotsava programme were, attended to, by clearing the weeds, providing manure and ensuring the growth of the plants.
The programme ultimately aims at a greener future. This can be attained by ensuring that each member takes responsibility and ensure the growth.
