Sep 4 : On the occasion of the 75th Independence day, ICYM Permannur Unit hoisted the tricolour in the church premises. President Ms. Venissa Dsouza welcomed the gathering. The Flag was hoisted by the chief guest Naik Praveen Shetty who is a veteran of the Kargil war and a retired soldier of the Indian Army. He later in his speech encouraged the youth to join the defence or civil forces and serve the nation in the best possible way. This program was presided by Fr. Cyprian Pinto, Parish priest. Mr. Maurice Monteiro, Vice President of Parish pastoral Council, Mr. Basil Dsouza, counselor of Ullal Panchayath, Animators Sr. Sevrine Fernandes and Mr. Deril Dsouza, President Venissa Dsouza and Secretary Ashvia Anna Lasrado were also present.

The program began by invoking Mother Mary’s blessing through a hymn. Later the chief guest was thanked and given the token of love.

Secretary Ashvia Anna Lasrado rendered the vote of thanks. The program was compered by Anita Dsouza.
