Oct 12 : Indian Catholic Youth Movement(ICYM) Vamadapadav Unit organised ‘Majama-2k22’ an inter ward Sports and Games Competition for all Parishioners on 09th October 2022.

The event started with Attractive March Past by Parishoners at 9:30AM in the morning. Thereafter the inaugural ceremony commenced. The ICYM Vamadapadav Director Fr.Leo Veigas, Parish Council Vice President Ambrose Walder, Secretary Mark Pinto, ICYM Moodbidri Deanery President Mithesh Dsouza, ICYM Vamadapadav Animator Richard Dsouza, ICYM Vamadapadav President Lenson Moras, Secretary Milton Pinto were present on the dais.

Fr.Leo Veigas encouraged all Parishioners to play with Sportsmanship and gave the message to treat Victory and Defeat in equal manner.

YCS unit members Preethi and Alvina led the prayer song. The event was inaugurated by Fr.Leo Veigas along with other dignitaries. Sports Secretary Slevin Lewis led the Oath Taking.

Thereafter various Games such as Sack Race, Tug of War, Volleyball, Throwball, 30 Yard Cricket, Lemon and Spoon race etc were conducted. Ashwin Pinto and Aiden from Farla Parish were Referees of the all Games.

The Prize distribution Ceremony commenced in the Evening. St.Lawrence Ward and Infant Jesus Ward emerged as joint Winners. St.Thomas Ward emerged as Runners of the Event.

Sushma Menezes and Milton Pinto called out the names Winners of various competitions. The dignitaries on the dais distributed the Prizes.

All 6 wards of the Parish participated enthusiastically with Sportsmanship.

The members of Dioseasan Executive Committee and Deanery Executive Committee paid Visit to the Event.

ICYM Vamadapadav President Lenson Moras Welcomed the Gathering. Sushma Menezes delivered Vote of Thanks. Lerina Dsouza Compered the Programme.

Breakfast and Lunch was served for all Parishioners. It was a memorable day for Everyone.
