Oct 09, 2017: Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) Vamanjoor unit organised “Gadhyanth Gammath” for all the parishioners of Vamanjoor on 1st of October 2017 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Mr. James Mendonca inaugurated the program along with Mr and Mrs Lawrence and Rosy Crasta. Sunil Pinto Vice President Vamanjoor Parish, Movin Dsouza President ICYM Vamanjoor unit, Renita Fernandes Secretary ICYM Vamanjoor unit, Rohan Pereira and Edwin Pinto Animators ICYM Vamanjoor unit were present on the dais. Movin Dsouza welcomed the gathering.
Most of the wards of Vamanjoor Parish participated actively in various games such as reverse race, Tug of war, relay, lemon race, lungi race, uppu moote etc. with great enthusiasm. Lunch was arranged for all the parishioners. Many sponsors helped for this program to be a success.
At the valedictory ceremony Director of Vamanjoor Parish Fr Cypian Pinto congratulated all ICYM members for their effort in conducting this event successfully and also all the parishioners for their active participation in the games. Kiram ward bagged the overall championship and Amruthnagar A ward won the runners up trophy. Fr Ronald Dsouza Director ICYM Mangalore diocese, Elroy Saldanha Pesident ICYM Central Council, Joel Mendonca Secretary and other council members were present. Sandhya Montiero compered the event. Renita Fernandes proposed the vote of thanks.
