ICYM Bajjodi unit holds “ Yuva Shathi ”- an orientation programme for the youths of Bajjodi parish on Sunday, 14th July 2019 at 8:15 am in Infant Mary Church Hall, Bajjodi.

The inaugural programme commenced with a prayer song lead by the youth group of the parish. Ms. Pranitha Pinto welcomed the gathering. Rev. Fr Ivan Dsouza - Parish priest presided over the programme along with Chief Guest Sr. Pearl Anne AC, Rev. Fr Patrick Lobo - Companion Priest, Joseph Mascarenhas - Vice President, Mrs Irene Pinto – Secretary, Bajjodi parish pastoral council, Mr. Deepak and Sr. Roopa – Co ordinators inaugurated the programme. Rev. Fr Ivan Dsouza in his presidential message to the youth highlighted the importance on year of youth and invoked leadership qualities in them.

The orientation programme began with an ice breaker session lead by Sr. Pearl Anne AC. In her sessions, she highlighted on the Real Power of Youth through an action game on values, inspirational stories like the chicken and the eagle and many more mind blowing activities and said we put a lot of limits in life rather than taking risks of trying. A change comes from within you and that makes you thrive stronger and higher like the eagle.

Youth had a fun fulfilled day with lots of action songs lead by Ms. Ivy Melisha Dsouza, Derebail – President and Ms. Sapna Gonsalves, Neermarga – Secretary, ICYM City Deanery. The youth witnessed the presence of Mr. Leon Loyd Saldanha, Bendur – Diocesan Youth President, Ms .Veena Vas, Shakthinagar – Diocesan General Secretary, ICYM Central Council Mangalore Diocese respectively. Mr. Leon Loyd Saldanha in his message encouraged the youth and said he was happy to see the youth actively involved in the programme. The unit is already filled with youth power. He assured his support and guidance to the ICYM units of Mangalore Diocese. Mr. Glen delivered the words of gratitude to the gathering. Mr. Vreethan Pinto was the convenor of the programme. Heethal Pereira compered the programme.
