July 29, 2016: ICYM Cordel unit organized a unique singing competition for the parishioners of Holy Cross Church, Cordel called "Cordel’so Thalo".
After the preliminary rounds for different catergories namely Solo, Duet and Group, the final round which was held on 24th July, 2016 at 5 pm, at Cordel Hall. The judges for the competition were Mr. Roshan Belman, Mrs. Meera Crasta and Mr. Ashish Palanna.
It was fun filled competition as the music lovers were thrilled with the joy of Musical Night and there were new talents who performed on the stage. Special attraction for this competition was Whatsapp voting, where the audience was given an occasion to vote for their contestant, and it attracted a large crowd. The music was arranged by Mr. Maxim Pereira of g-Major band who also trained the contestants.
ICYM Cordel unit Director Rev. Fr. Victor Machado, Asst. director Fr. Anil Avild Lobo, Asst. Parish Priest Fr. Paul Prakash D’Souza and Animator Mr. Noel D’souza, Mr. Maxim Pereira, Proprietor of g-Major band, Parish Pastoral Parishad Vice President Mr. Praveen Patrao and Secretary Mr. Micheal D’Souza along with the judges of the competition were present on stage for the formal program.
ICYM Cordel President Mr. Vivan Pinto welcomed the gathering and Secretary Ms. Liza Lobo proposed the vote of thanks. Ms. Renita Aranha and Mr. Vernon Crasta compered the program.
This competition was well appreciated by the judges and the parishioners gathered. The program concluded with Baila dance performed by g-Major band.
