Kasaragod Mar 22, 2018: Cancer is a word which disturbs evryones mind when they hear it. The same case with a 14 year old boy austin of vorkady parish studing in 9th std is suffering from blood cancer and under treatment at Fr mullers medical hospital and his treatment would cost about 5 lakh for 3 months.
Recently austins father expired due to an accident.At this situation the family is going through a very hard time . so we the youths of icym kasargod deanery took a step forward to help this family under the leadership of icym kasargod council committee with a mission ' PRAJITH KALAR MUJE UROVNI'. We requested every unit president along with the unit members to collect the amount in thier parish through box collection on 04/03/2018 . We had a box collection in 13 parishes and received a good response and support from everyone and collected a total sum of rupees 3,71,071 .

On 20th of march icym kasargod deanery director Fr.Victor D'souza and president handed over this amount to the austins family.
