Dec. 03, 2017: Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) Bannur unit organized “Moj Masthi Gadhyanth Kusthi” on the occasion of Christmas for all the parishioners of Bannur on 3rd December 2017 from 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. All eight wards had actively participated in all the events. This one brought about the unity and togetherness of parishioners.
The event was inaugurated by our Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Prashanth Fernandes along with honorable guests Puttur town Municipal nominated council Mr. Jockhim Dsouza, Businessman Mr. A V. Narayana Gowda, Asst. Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Balthazar Pinto and also Parish Council Vice President Mr. Inas Gonsalves and Secretary Ms. Wilma Gonsalves who were present on the dias. ICYM unit President Deepak D’souza welcomed the gathering.
Dignitaries who were present in the dais spoke few words addressing the gathering. Unit ICYM Lady Vice President Ms. Joanita D’souza compered the program, ICYM unit member Joyline Noronha concluded with vote of thanks. ICYM unit members Deekshith Gonsalves, Vishwas Lobo, Preema Fernandes, Pradeep Fernandes, Sandeep Lobo conducted games with the help of all the other members of ICYM Bannur.
The event started with treasure hunt as a Ice Breaker, then followed by many individual and group games such as, filling water into bottle, Lemon and spoon race, three leg race, reverse race, one leg race, Tug of war, Throw ball, Volley Ball, Relay etc., for all the Bannur parishioners.
As a main attraction of the event, Respected MLA of Puttur Taluk Smt.Shakunthala T Shetty who joined with us later and delivered her valuable speech addressing the gathering, Parish priest Fr. Prashanth Fernandes welcomed her to the function.
Few people from Bannur parish shared their overall experience about the event and congratulated ICYM Bannur for their effort in conducting this event successfully.
Sponsors for this event were specially honored with mementos, and also Judges of events were honored for spending their valuable time with us.
All the parishioners of Bannur parish actively participated and made the event a great success. It was a memorable day to all the individuals of Bannur parish. End of the day DJ dance made the crowd more colorful.
