May 25 : ICYM Puttur Unit held a Youth Gathering programme along with their parents on Tuesday, 21st May 2019 at 7pm in Mai De Deus Church Hall, Puttur.

The programme was presided over by Rev. Fr Alfred J Pinto - Parish Priest, Mai De Deus Church, Puttur along with Rev. Fr Praveen Dsouza - Assistant Parish Priest, Mai De Deus Church, Puttur, Mr. J. P Rodrigues - Vice President and Mr. Fabian Goveas - Secretary, Mai De Deus Parish Pastoral Council, Puttur, James Crishal Dsouza, Kadaba - President, ICYM St. Paul Eastern Deanery, Puttur, Dimple Cutinho - Animator were the dignitaries for the programme.

The programme commenced by invoking blessings from the almighty with a prayer conducted by Rev. Fr Praveen Dsouza. Gavin Mascarenhas - President, ICYM Puttur Unit welcomed the guests and the gathering. Lianna Rodrigues - Secretary, ICYM Puttur Unit read out the Annual Report of the year 2018 - 19. Jane Miranda - Treasurer, ICYM Puttur Unit put forward the Annual Financial Accounts of the year 2018-19.

Rev. Fr Praveen Dsouza was appreciated during the occasion by the youth and was honoured for his extraordinary contribution towards the success of every ICYM programmes in the unit. Rev. Fr Praveen Dsouza thanked all the parents for encouraging and supporting their children to join ICYM and to take part in all the programmes and he appreciated the youths for involving themselves in the church activities. Mr. J P Rodrigues congratulated all the ICYM members for their selfless dedication towards the church and the society through their social activities. James Crishal Dsouza, Kadaba thanked all the ICYM members of Puttur Unit for their wholehearted support and for their participation in the deanery programmes and activities. All the members were appreciated with a certificate of appreciation by Rev. Fr Alfred J Pinto for their hard work and selfless dedication towards ICYM and congratulated all the ICYM members for their active participation by involving their parents in this get-together programme, thereby erasing and clearing the doubts of their parents in order to build the youth power and to witness their good work in the church.

After the formal programme, few games were conducted by Jane Miranda along with the youth committee for the parents and attractive prizes were awarded. Jacquline Mascarenhas proposed the vote of thanks for making this programme a great success. All the parents expressed their positive feedback about the programme. Dimple Tauro compered the programme. Rev. Fr Alfred J. Pinto invoked God's blessings over the dinner. The programme concluded with a sumptuous dinner.
