9th August, 2015: MAI DE DEUS Church ,Puttur unit which belongs to Eastern Deanary-Puttur, of Mangalore Diocese organized Parish Level 'YUVASPANDAN-2015' a one day program for youth on 9th August 2015 at Mai De Deus Church Hall , Puttur
Rev Fr Alfred J Pinto Vigar of Mai de dues church ,Puttur presided over the inaugural function. Fr Roshan Crasta, Administrator of Fr.Mullers Hospital.Tumbe was the Chief Guest of the program.
Chief Guest inaugurated the function by unfolding the screen which had ‘YUVASPANDAN-2015’ written on it.
Fr Santosh D’Souza Asst Parish priest of Mai De Deus church, ICYM monitor Mrs Asha Rebello, Mr Joe D’souza,Vice president and Mrs Lucy Moras,Secretary of Mai De Deus church, Ms Roshel Reema Mascarenhas Joint secretary of ICYM central council Manglore, President Ms Jesna Menezes were present on the dias.
Ms Jesna Menezes welcomed the gathering and Ms Reema Larissa Dias rendered vote of thanks.
Fr Roshan Crasta Adminiistrator of Fr. Mullers Hospital Tumbe spoke about ‘youth in church and society’.Mr Steefan Quadras wellknown writer and speaker spoke about ‘carrier guidance and schloarships’.Ice-Breaking was conducted by Fr Santosh D’souza, Mr Avil Mascarenhas, Ms Reema Dias,Mr Sam D’souza, Mr.Brian Sequiera, Mr Lesslie Lobo, Mr.Vijay Lobo,Mr Prakash Sequiera and Ms Jesna Menezes.
During conclusion of the program the youths were honoured for their participation.Mr Prakash Sequiera summarized the achievements of ICYM Puttur unit and invited the new members to join and work in the organization.
Parish youth had a great time in knowing each other and acquired knowledge about their dutyand responsibility. More than 70 youths participated .
