Dec 2 : Youth Commission, Mangalore Diocese in collaboration with White Doves organised 'Youth March For Christ' under the theme "Christ our life and light" on Sunday, December 1st 2019 at 3.00p.m.

The youth of Mangalore Diocese gathered at Milagres church. Suraj Norohna, President YCS Mangalore Diocese welcomed the gathering. Suraj Norohna, Bondel and team led the praise and worship .

Most Rev Dr Peter Paul Saldanha, Bishop of Mangalore insensed the Holy Bible. The youth leaders Leon Loyd Saldanha ICYM President, Suraj Norohna YCS President, Ashal Benny Coordinator Jesus Youth, Akshitha Steefal Fernandes, President State AICUF took the bible in procession. The procession started from Milagres church to Nehru Maidan with many tableau depicting the nature, Holy family , Mother Theresa, service to society acts, public awareness tableau etc., A huge cross was carried by the youth in the procession. Bible was carried in procession by Bishop Peter Paul Saldanha. The youth carried the plug cards, saint flags and marched to Nehru Maidan by singing hymns.

Bible was placed in the Altar setup at Nehru Maidan by the youth leaders. Bishop honored the bible by placing a garland on it.
Fr. Clifford Fernandes, Parish priest, Jeppu delivered the reflection on the theme. Fr Cyril Lobo from Bondel parish led the praise and worship along with brother Ronald Ammembal. Bishop led the prayer of consecration and delivered his message to the youth .

Ms. Jesvita Princy Quadros was felicitated for being appointed as the member of the international youth advisory body by Vatican.

Rev Fr Ronald Prakash D'souza, Secretary Youth commission delivered the vote of thanks.

Vicar General Rev Fr Maxim Norohna and many priests were present. Nearly 2000 youth of Mangalore Diocese actively participated in the Youth March For Christ.
